KEY LARGO FISHING REPORT

 6/14/10  Key largo Offshore Fishing

        Just a Quick update on the offshore action off Key Largo. Gulf stream has been close in the past 2 weeks so fishing action starts as soon as wee cross the reef line about 5 miles off. just today we got a beautiful Black fin tuna just past the reef line in 100 feet of water, first run was awesome what a fight great fish.Dophin action has been just a bit farther, have not gone beyond 9 miles in the past 2 weeks. Last week there where a lot of small fish but this week most all fish we picked up have been 4 or 6 lbs and some slammers up to 30 lbs. Most fish are on birds running down weed lines but some of the bigger ones have been paired up on the troll. Ballyhoo on the outriggers and lures on the flat lines has been getting the job done. With action this close 1/2 days are working well.
